The Elite Home Business Opportunity!

For over 30 years, I worked for someone else. Like many of you, I became frustrated with the lack of control over my professional and, especially, my personal life. Almost 4 years ago, I made the decision to take control of my life and started my home business. In the beginning, I had a few "bumps and bruises" as I sorted through all the various business opportunities. Then I was blessed to find a couple of home businesses, one which is Passport to Wealth, that changed my life. Today, I control when I work and how long all from the comforts of my home. Workathomegem.com was created to provide information, guidance, and a HOME for anyone seeking to begin a home business. We intend to provide the most relevant trends in the industry and will provide monthly newsletters on the best opportunities available. Over time, this site will describe some of the home businesses I operate, like Passport to Wealth. But my primary intention is to provide quality information for those seeking to begin, or expand, their home business and find the freedom (both financial and personal) I have been blessed to find (yes, that is me in the picture). You have my commitment that we will consistently research the industry, and along with your feedback and input, keep this site current so that anyone interested in the home business industry will know they have a place to call home! Any time you wish to contact me, please do so at info@workathomegem.com.

Sharing Your Wealth

Once your home business becomes established and successful, one of the most common mistakes, a home business owner makes is sharing your wealth. Sharing your wealth, is not just sharing it financially, it is also in the form of giving of your time and expertise. Any successful home business owner must return some of their “wealth” to one or more of the following areas. In doing so, research confirms that a home business owner becomes even more successful. Here is a brief overview of the three “Sharing your Wealth” areas:

1. Mentoring: Somewhere along your road to home business success, you had a mentor who gave their time and expertise to assist in your home business success. Now that you have success, passing along your “expertise” to someone else will give you returns ten fold. Mentoring can be in the form of assisting someone looking to begin a home business to helping a student at your local school. Whatever form mentoring takes for you, find someone and mentor them.

2. Family Time: With the success of your home business, more free time will be available to spend with your family. Whether finding time with your spouse, significant other, or children, dedicating specific time each day with them will reward you beyond your wildest dreams. The saying it’s “quality vs quantity” time couldn’t be further from the truth. Make the time for your family and share in the success of your home business.

3. Community: Give back to your community, church, and/or favorite charity. Yes, you can donate some of the financial gains of your home business (great deduction for your home business), but also giving of your time and energy to a community project will provide a greater reward. The more time and energy you give back (without diminishing the success of your home business) to a local charity, to your church, or a community event, the better you will feel about yourself. This increases your self-esteem which will give you more confidence in your home business which will lead to even more success.

Remember another of our published articles discussed the Paradox Principle. Apply these same principles in sharing your wealth by having an awareness and vision on how and where you can give back. Then put together a strategy and execute your strategy. Every true successful home business owner will consistently be active in one of more of these three “Sharing Your Wealth” areas.
